My sincerest appreciation… This week has been a complete whirlwind. After our big win on Tuesday night to back-to-back calls with SC-01 Republicans, Independents, Democrats, friends, family, colleagues, and so many more, your support has been totally overwhelming. So, I just want to say, “Thank you.”
I grew up in Goose Creek, S.C. and after dropping out of high school, I eventually got my diploma from Stratford (Go Knights!). And I’ve come a long way since my time at the Waffle House on College Park Road in Ladson (exit 203).
The American dream is alive and well. After graduating magna cum laude from The Citadel, where I was the first female to graduate from its Corps of Cadets in 1999, I am living proof that sometimes life a series of second chances and that a little hard work can go a long way.
From there, I went on to start and own a business, have a family and even represent House District 99 in the South Carolina State Legislature so I could GET. STUFF. DONE. and above all else, work on the issues that matter to the #Lowcountry.
With the support of a unified party, your support, and a laser-focus on the issues that matter to you, Team Mace can’t wait to get started. It’s time to restore a fiscal conservative and a TRULY INDEPENDENT voice to Congress representing South Carolina’s First District.
Please allow me to take a moment to speak with those of you who may not have voted in the primary, or who voted for another candidate, or who voted for the incumbent in the last election…
I am asking for you to give me a chance to prove myself to you. I pledge to be a good listener and I will work extremely hard to earn your trust, your confidence, your support and one day your vote. I pledge to be the compassionate leader you are looking for as your next Congresswoman, representing you in the Lowcountry.
