Mace Urges Lowcountry to Take Hurricane Ian Seriously and Prepare to Stay Safe

Rep. Nancy Mace joined America Reports Thursday to urge Lowcountry residents to take Hurricane Ian seriously and prepare to keep their families safe.

Today the South Carolina coast has been placed under hurricane watch, and Ian has been forecast to strengthen back to a Category 1 hurricane as it makes landfall.

“We are in the bullseye on this one tomorrow, which is why the next 36 hours are so critical…” said Congresswoman Mace. “Residents here only have a few hours left to move their vehicles to higher ground.”

Even though we did not receive much advance notice that we were in the crosshairs of Ian, Mace urged everyone to take the threat seriously.
