Congresswoman Mace’s Stand Against Economic Shutdowns vs. Templeton’s Constant Pursuit of Notoriety
May 2nd, 2024 – CHARLESTON, S.C. – Congresswoman Nancy Mace’s campaign called out Catherine Templeton for supporting a COVID-19 shutdown that crippled our economy. Templeton called for extreme measures to shelter in place, showing her lack of comprehension of governmental decision-making processes and perpetual clout chasing. In comparison, Nancy Mace pushed back against the COVID-19 shutdowns and government overreach that devastated families and South Carolina’s economy.
On March 30, 2020, Templeton stated on social media that “it was time,” to issue a “shelter in place” order from the government.
“Congresswoman Mace isn’t a puppet of the establishment,” said Mace’s spokesperson Gabrielle Lipsky. “Unlike Templeton, who bent over backward for the far-left during COVID-19 lockdowns, advocating for economic shutdowns and upheaval of our lives just for notoriety, Mace stood strong. Templeton lacks the backbone to understand the needs of job creators, workers, and frankly, anyone in the Lowcountry.”
Congresswoman Mace, in contrast, was fighting for South Carolina’s economy and businesses and pointing out some of the ridiculous government overreach.
