Nancy Mace Exposes Yet Another Templeton Campaign Lie
Templeton cannot stop lying about Mace’s record, because it’s just that good.
(Charleston S.C., May 13th 2024) – In yet another striking display of unethical behavior, Catherine Templeton has deceived the public in her latest attack against Mace’s congressional campaign for re-election.
Templeton sent out a news release today blatantly lying about a phantom debate invitation from WCIV Channel 4. This news release is as fictitious as her legislative achievements. Her claims are not just dishonest; they are a desperate attempt to shift focus from her dismal record, where she has been noted as nothing more than an opportunist bought and paid for by McCarthy’s millions.
WCIV confirmed today with our campaign they never sent out a debate invitation to Mace or anyone else.
“While Catherine Templeton plays pretend politics, crafting fables to mislead voters, I am in Congress, making real decisions that impact real lives,” said Nancy Mace. “It’s easy to spin tales from the sidelines, but leading with integrity takes actual work—something she seems to know little about.”
Templeton’s campaign is marked by constant deflection, including her false claims about Nancy Mace’s record on border security and her false statements regarding Mace’s support of Israel and the Jewish community. It is Templeton who has a troubling history of racially insensitive remarks and who has falsely claimed credit for drafting significant border legislation written by someone else. Her campaign strategy reveals a deep disrespect for the intelligence of our voters. Her tactics go beyond mere misinformation; they represent a deliberate effort to skew public perception, avoiding a genuine discussion about her own lackluster career.
Templeton owes the public an apology for her continual dishonesty and should commit to elevating her campaign to meet the standards expected of congressional candidates.
