Congresswoman Nancy Mace joined Shannon Bream on Fox News at Night this week to discuss Russia’s likely invasion of Ukraine.

Rep Mace responded to a Wall Street Journal editorial board opinion piece stating that “… the Russian has never been deterred before by Western restraint, and he may see [new sanctions] as more weakness…,” saying:

“Certainly over the last few years unilateral sanctions against Russia have not worked, and when President Biden says he’s going toe-to-toe with Putin, it feels more like he’s playing footsie… Our botched withdrawal from Afghanistan — the shameful withdrawal from Afghanistan — was a catalyst I believe for Putin’s build-up of forces along the Ukranian border.”

Congresswoman Mace continued, saying, “I’m seeing this first-hand, because I have family who have been deployed because of what we’re seeing over there. I don’t think it’s worth one drop of American blood on Ukranian soil over this issue.”

Congresswoman Nancy Mace was raised in the Lowcountry where she dropped out of high school to become a waitress at the Waffle House. In 1999, would eventually go on to become the first woman to graduate from The Citadel, the military college of South Carolina. She published a book about her experiences in 2001 by Simon and Schuster, titled In The Company of Men: A Woman at The Citadel. She has earned accolades as a fiscal conservative, receiving the Taxpayer Hero Award from the South Carolina Club for Growth with a 100 percent record of lowering taxes.
