Met with a Daniel Island mom this morning regarding their underage daughter and hearing stories of her and other underage girls being recorded without their knowledge or consent in an intimate way. We discussed our voyeurism bill and how we’re working to strengthen both federal and state law in South Carolina. While it is a crime, our laws need to increase the punishment; fines and civil right of action for victims so the perpetrators of such crime are incentivized never to do it again.
