Charleston, S.C., October 23, 2025 — Nancy Mace for Governor campaign introduced a plan to ban drag show attendance for anyone under the age of 18 in South Carolina. Her policy would prohibit minors from attending sexually explicit or adult-themed performances.
This Saturday, QT (Queer Trans) Camp is hosting the “Creepy QT Halloween Party” in North Charleston. Any child over the age of 12 can attend – alone. Any child under the age of 12, can attend accompanied by any one over the age of 12. QT Camp is the primary host of the event, with additional promoters and supporters including Lowcountry Period Pixies, Charleston Pride, the Democratic Socialists of America, Free Mom Hugs, and the Palmetto State Abortion Fund.

Drag performer, Velma Dearwood, is expected to perform at the “halloween carnival” this Saturday at 4 PM.

“The radical Left is furious I exposed a drag show for kids,” said Congresswoman Nancy Mace. “Let it be known — I will never allow our children to be exposed to sexually explicit entertainment. There is NOTHING wrong with protecting our kids.”
Mace added, “And if you think it’s a good thing to expose kids to sexually explicit organizations or material, drag shows, tr*ns or queer ideology, then you are the problem.”
