New Poll Puts Nancy Mace 2 Pts Ahead of Incumbent Democrat Joe Cunningham

With Two Weeks To Go, Poll Demonstrates Lowcountry Wants Leadership, Not Party Followers

October 19, 2020 (CHARLESTON, S.C.)  —  On Monday, a new poll has Nancy Mace in the lead with a 2 pt advantage over Democrat Congressman Joe Cunningham.

The poll, conducted by Strategic National on October 14-16 has Nancy Mace garnering 47% of the vote with the incumbent Democrat Congressman Joe Cunningham 2 points behind Nancy at 45%. The poll sample size was 400 with a 60/40 cell phone/landline split. The traditional poll did not include IVR, texts, or online polling.

These numbers align with the latest polling by the New York Times showing an upward trajectory in South Carolina for not only President Trump and Senator Lindsey Graham, but the entire GOP ticket.

Campaign Manager Mara Mellstrom issued the following statement: Nancy Mace is an energizing force for voters all up and down the first congressional district. The Lowcountry needs a leader and Nancy Mace is that leader. Voters know that she is the only option that will always put the Lowcountry First. She will never put partisan politics before our military or put Pelosi’s wishlist before Parris Island. Lowcountry voters know Joe, and the more they learn about his record of voting with Nancy Pelosi 90% of the time, the more they see it’s time to restore leadership to the Lowcountry by choosing Nancy Mace.
