Meet Nancy

NANCY'S STORY

The Making of a Trailblazer

Nancy Mace comes from a military family, as the daughter of a retired Army General and school teacher. She started working at Waffle House after dropping out of high school, and became the first woman to graduate from The Citadel Military College of South Carolina, 26 years ago.

She built a business from the ground up, ran for office when others wouldn’t, and made history again as the first Republican woman elected to Congress from South Carolina.

She fights for what’s right –  balanced budgets, low to no taxes, deporting illegals, a government who answers to the people, and the rights of children. She’s not a fan of the trans.

Faith guides her. Facts drive her. And she never backs down. Nancy Mace holds the line.

About Me

Business Acumen to Public Service

With a talent for business, Nancy has worked in commercial real estate and had her own entrepreneurial venture, a B2B tech and marketing firm.

However, her true passion is public service. Elected to the South Carolina State House in 2017, and sworn into office in 2018, she quickly made a name for herself with fiscally conservative policies and a commitment to conservation across the state.

Since 2020, as the first Republican woman from South Carolina elected to Congress, Nancy has championed fiscal conservatism, tackled illegal immigration, and addressed issues affecting women, girls, and education. Her extensive legislation protecting women and girls, alongside her push for government accountability and border security, exemplifies the principled leadership our country seeks.

Most recently, Nancy worked with her colleagues to include the Preventing Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act in the House rules package.

Impact on Committees

Nancy serves on the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, where she chairs the Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, IT, and Government Innovation. She also serves on the Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs. Nancy is a member of the House Armed Services Committee, serving on the Subcommittees on Intelligence and Special Operations, and Seapower and Projection Forces. She also serves on the House Committee on Veterans Affairs, where she is a member of the Subcommittee on Economic Opportunity and the Subcommittee on Technology Modernization.

Accolades

Nancy’s contributions have not gone unnoticed. She earned the Defender of Economic Freedom Award from the Club for Growth and the 2019 Taxpayer Hero Award from the South Carolina Club for Growth. Her commitment to education and job training for the underprivileged was recognized with the Champion Award from Palmetto Goodwill. Her commitment to South Carolina is affirmed by her 97% rating from Conservation Voters of SC and a perfect score from the Police Officers Defense Coalition.

Personal Commitment

Beyond her public life, Nancy is a dedicated mother to two teenagers, a Havanese dog named Liberty, and a cat named Tyler. Guided by God, her story is one of faith, resilience, ambition, and a vision for a brighter South Carolina future.

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named.
