MACE CAMPAIGN CALLS OUT TEMPLETON FOR VOTING FOR DEMOCRATS IN ELECTIONS

CHARLESTON, S.C. – June 3, 2024 – Today Nancy Mace’s campaign called out Catherine Templeton for voting in the 2020 Democratic Presidential Primary and voting for a Democrat for governor in 2010. These votes highlight her personal record and raise questions about Templeton’s “conservative values.”

In addition to her most recent vote for a Democrat in 2020, she voted for the Democrat candidate for South Carolina’s governor in 2010, Vincent A. Sheheen, over the Republican candidate, Nikki Haley.

“Closet Democrats have no place in Republican primaries. Catherine Templeton’s voting history is even more proof that this woman is nothing but a puppet, putting her own values aside to get into a position of power. Republican voters deserve a candidate who genuinely represents their principles, not someone who switched allegiances for convenience,” stated Gabrielle Lipsky, spokesperson for the Nancy Mace campaign.

While Templeton has been inconsistent and spreading lies about her conservative values, Rep. Mace has been fighting to secure the border, fight wasteful government spending, and re-elect President Trump.

“This is just another lie told by Templeton trying to mislead voters to believe that she is something that she is not. She aligns with Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders,” added Lipsky.
