REP. MACE PRAISES GOV. MCMASTER FOR RECORD-BREAKING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
$9.12 billion in investment, 8,100+ jobs mark third-highest year for industry recruitment
Representative Nancy Mace today praised Governor Henry McMaster following the announcement of South Carolina’s 2025 industry recruitment results, which showed $9.12 billion in new capital investment and more than 8,100 jobs.
“Gov. McMaster is delivering results for South Carolina,” said Rep. Mace. “This is the third-highest year for industry recruitment on record, and more than 40% of both investment and jobs went to rural communities. When you put South Carolina first, South Carolina wins.”
Rural areas accounted for $4.25 billion in investment and over 3,500 jobs, the highest rural share since 2010. Projects were announced in 34 rural counties across industries including agribusiness, automotive, energy, and manufacturing.
“Opportunity shouldn’t just exist in our cities. It should exist in every corner of South Carolina,” continued Mace. “Gov. McMaster’s pro-business policies are working, and families across our state are benefiting. As Governor, I will build on this foundation and keep South Carolina the best place in America to do business.”
