REPRESENTATIVE NANCY MACE ENCOURAGES SOUTH CAROLINA SMALL BUSINESSES TO APPLY FOR NATIONAL RECOGNITION
Nominations Open for 2026 National Small Business Week Awards; Deadline December 22
Representative Nancy Mace is encouraging South Carolina small business owners to submit nominations for the 2026 National Small Business Week Awards, recognizing the entrepreneurs and job creators who are the backbone of our state’s economy.
“Small businesses are the heart of South Carolina’s economy, they employ our neighbors, strengthen our communities, and embody the entrepreneurial spirit that makes our state great,” said Congresswoman Nancy Mace. “These awards shine a spotlight on the innovation and determination of our small business owners. If you know a South Carolina business that’s making a difference, NOMINATE THEM!”

The South Carolina District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration is accepting nominations through December 22 at 2 p.m. National Small Business Week will take place May 3-9, 2026, celebrating organizations that employ approximately half of the United States’ workforce and comprise about 99% of all businesses nationwide.
National Awards:
- Small Business Person of the Year
- Graduate of the Year
- Small Business Exporter of the Year
- Phoenix Award
South Carolina State Awards:
- Veteran-Owned Small Business of the Year
- Women-Owned Small Business of the Year
- Small Business Manufacturer of the Year
- Rural Small Business of the Year
- Blue-Collar Small Business of the Year
Each South Carolina state award winner will compete for the 2026 National Small Business Person of the Year title, the SBA’s signature national award. National awards will be presented during a ceremony in Washington, D.C. in May 2026, while state awards will be presented in Columbia during National Small Business Week.
