STATE SENATOR TOM DAVIS ENDORSES NANCY MACE FOR STATE HOUSE DISTRICT 99 SEAT
Says “Both Berkeley and Charleston Counties would be well-served by having her as their voice at the State House”
November 1, 2017 – Daniel Island, S.C. – State Senator Tom Davis (R-Beaufort) announced his endorsement of Nancy Mace for vacant South Carolina State House (District 99) seat. Davis, who was first elected to the chamber in 2008, is a respected member of the South Carolina State Senate, representing District 46.
“We need common sense perspectives in Columbia now more than ever, but more importantly we need people of principle who have consistently demonstrated the courage and integrity to stand for what they believe in,” said Davis. “Nancy Mace has shown that courage and integrity throughout her life, and the citizens of Berkeley and Charleston counties would be well-served by having her as their voice at the State House.”
A Daniel Island businesswoman and conservative, Nancy Mace, is running in the November 14th Republican Primary for State House in District 99 which includes Hanahan, Daniel Island, Mt. Pleasant and a portion of her home town of Goose Creek. Mace has received early and overwhelming support for her candidacy, in the form of endorsements, financial contributions and campaign volunteers.
“Nancy is attracting support because of her work ethic and her drive to see to it there is greater oversight and accountability in Columbia,” Davis said. “She is also a no-nonsense candidate who will deliver on her commitments to work on the infrastructure crisis in District 99.”

ABOUT NANCY MACE
Nancy is a businesswoman and mother of two. She holds an MA in mass communication from the University of Georgia. She is the author of In the Company of Men: A Woman at The Citadel (Simon and Schuster, 2001). Mace is the daughter of retired Army Brigadier General Emory Mace and educator Dr. Anne Mace, PhD. She was raised in Berkeley County attending College Park Middle School and eventually graduating from Stratford High School before she attended Trident Tech and subsequently became the first woman to graduate from The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina in 1999.
